•Public Masonic funeral services for Claud Devere Erb, 86, 1897 7th East, former Buyer for the Salt Lake Hardware Co., will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Masonic Temple, 650 E. South Temple.

• HE DIED Tuesday of natural causes in a Downey, Calif., hospital.

• He retired on Dec. 31, 1940, after 32 years employment with the Salt Lake Hardware Co.

• A past master of Mount Moriah Lodge No. 2, F&AM, Mr. Erb was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of EI Kalah Temple of the Shrine.

• HE WAS ALSO a member of the board of directors of the Young Men’s Christian Assn. of Salt Lake City and the First Methodist Church.

• He was born June 28, 1875, in Lowell, Mich., son of Moses and Idella Barber Erb. He married Annie Frances Carman. She died in 1945.

• Friends may call Friday, 7 to 8 p.m. at 574 E. 1st South and Saturday one-half hour prior at the Masonic Temple. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
